103.7 Point Club

Welcome to the 103.7 Point Club.  The Points Club is one of the most respected Clubs in all of Fantasy Sports.  The Club will gets it's points name following week one.  We take an average of all scores from week 1 and that sets the bar.  All teams that score that many points on a given week will get one club point.  The goal is first, to get into the club.  Second, to renew your membership more then any other team in a given season.  You renew by scoring more points then the clubs name after week one.  Each week you do that, you get another Club Point. 90.3 was the 2008 Club name.

Good Luck to all this season.  Let's get it on!

Highest Scoring Players In The P.F.F.

As most of you know, our scoring system does not match those of every other League.  Nor do 2 Leagues usually have the same scoring sytem.  The one downfall of our software, it tracks players scoring even if you don't use him in a game.  In other words, if Brett Favre is the #3 QB in the NFL in Fantasy Scoring, but you have used D. Brees each week, it will still show Brett Favre as the # 3 QB.  In this section, I will list the top 2 players and their scores in each postion for the season to that point.

After Week 8

QB's

218.6 pts.- M. Schaub- HOU- Mile High Broncos

210.8 pts.- D. Brees- NO- Brookside Rage

RB's

161.4 pts.- A. Peterson- MIN- Midwest Thunderstomrs

153.6 pts.- M. Drew- Jones- JAC- Brookside Rage

WR's

155.9 pts.- R. Wayne- IND- Mile High Broncos

133.4 pts.- V. Jackson- SD- Mile High Broncos

TE's

123.1 pts.- D. Clark- IND- Texas Twisters

121.9 pts.- O. Daniels- HOU- Old Town Ballerz

K's

78.0 pts.- L. Tynes- NYG- Bay City Blitz

69.0 pts.- N. Kaeding- SD- Westside Wolverines

DF's/ST's

105.0 pts.- Minnesota- Westside Wolverines

99.0 pts- New Orleans- Brookside Rage

P.F.F. Record Watch

As most of you know, the PFF has a very extensive record book filled with many accomplishments.  In this section, I will announce any records that were set the previous week and any that are close that we need to watch for in the upcoming week.

Week 8

  • There were no records set in week 8!

If Kings would have only played Miami.

  • That's it for week 8.

P.F.F. Milestones

In this section I point out any milestones that teams and owners alike accomplish from the past week.

  • The Screamin' Eagles are the last of 16 teams to score 300 TD's all-time.
  • The Rush are the first team in league history to score 11,000 points all-time.
  • The Bengals are the 10th team in league history to score 10,000 points all-time.
  • The Silver Bullets are the 15th team in league history to score 8,000 points all-time.
  • The Dream Team are 4-0 over the Wolverines all-time.
  • The Twisters are 3-0 over the Screamin' Eagles all-time.
  • If the Kings would have played DT- Miami in Week 8, they would have scored 33 points and would have become the Highest Scoring DT in the History of the League.

               That's it for Week 8.

P.F.F. Photo Of The Week

Each week I will place a Photo here from the previous weeks games.  I will try to make it a great shot of a game changing moment in the P.F.F.

This is a picture of QB- B. Favre- MIN- Texas Twisters. In this picture Favre is throwing one of his four TD's that he threw on Sunday for the Twisters.  Which one is he throwing here?  Who cares!  If for any reason Favre would have not thrown four TD's, the Twisters would have lost their game to the Screamin' Eagles.  If 1 TD pass would have been dropped, if one fumble would have happened, if they would have ran the ball in instead of throwing, the Twisters lose and the League looks different today.

First, the Twisters would be 4-4 right now and instead of leading their Division, they would have been sitting in third behind the Dream Team and the Rage.  Instead, the Twisters come out of week 8 leading the Heart Division with a 5-3 record.  This is the third time in their exsistance that the Twisters lead their Division after week 8.  It happened last season in 2008 where they were 5-3, and it also happened their first season in 2003 where they had a 4-4. Let's not forget that it knocks the Ballerz and Kings a game and a half from a Wild Card and knocks the Rage from a Wild Card spot they would have had at this point.

In the other Conference, the Screamin' Eagles would have been 3-6 and would have been a game ahead of the Thunderstorms.  The Thunderstorms would have been in last place in their Division for the first time in their 13 year history.  The Screamin' Eagles would have been tied for a Wild Card Spot with the Rush instead of a complete game back.

You don't think on a Sunday full of games that one play, one TD, one pass, really makes a difference?  Guess again buddy.  It can change the entire landscape of the Greatest Fantasy Football League on the Planet.
